- 14th March, 2024: Under the aegis of the GST Committee of the Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh a GST Workshop on " Latest Amendments in GST Act and Departmental Guidelines" jointly with State GST Department was organised. The Chief Guest of the workshop was Shri G S Bonal Ji, Additional Commissioner Grade - 1 State GST Department. Other officials of the State GST Department were also graced the workshop.

- 19th February, 2024: The inauguration of the fourth ground breaking ceremony (GBC) 4.0 being held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow was telecast live at Hotel Pristine, Kanpur. Shri Mahendra Nath Modi, Secretary, MCUP with other members of the Chamber has participated in the meeting.

- 17th February, 2024: Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh jointly with FICCI Flo organized a workshop on “Prevention of sexual Harassment (POSH) Laws”. Key note speaker of the Workshop was Smt. Amrreeta Swarup, (Advocate-on-Record) (Hon’ble Supreme Court).

- 13th February, 2024: Under the aegis of the Trade Committee of the Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh a talk on "RB-IOS: An Alternative Grievance Redress Mechanism for Customers of Regulated Entities was organized jointly with Kanpur Chartered Accountants Society. The keynote speaker of the program was Smt. Chandini Moolchandani, RBI Ombudsman, Chief General Manager.

- 25th January, 2024: Under the aegis of the GST Committee, MCUP organised a joint program on “GST Raid” with Kanpur Chartered Accountant Society and Sales Tax Bar association. CA Jatin Christopher from Bangalore was the key note speaker of the program.

- 22nd January, 2024: To celebrate Pran Pratistha at Shri Ram Janam Bhoomi, Ayodhya, a program “Ram Janaki Kala Mahotsava was organized by Shri Radha Krishna Temple Trust (J K Temple) and MCUP at Shri Radha Krishna Temple (J K Temple). A Bhajan Melody was performed by the Members of the MCUP followed by a dance drama play based on the Ramayana was performed by more than 100 Children of Kala Nidhi Dance Academy and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay School. On this auspicious occasion, J K Temple was illuminated with 11000 diyas.

- 22nd January, 2024: To celebrate “Pran-Pratistha” at Shri Ram Janam Bhoomi, Ayodhya 9 LCDs were installed at different locations in the city, in which “Pran-Pratistha” at Shri Ram Janam Bhoomi was live telecasted from Ayodhya. In the evening, the program “Ram Janaki Kala Mahotsava” at Radha Krishna Temple ( J K temple) was telecasted.

- 22nd January, 2024: Bhojan Prasad and Gajak vitaran at Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh. Mrs. Varsha Singhania, Advisor, WEC inaugurated the Bhojan Prasad and Gajak distribution outside MCUP as the Chief Guest.

- 21st January, 2024: An Art Mela “Chitrakala Samagam” was organized at J K Temple, in which almost 400 Students, Professional Artist and Children of the City participated. It was a live painting competition. Topic for the Painting were: Ramayana or Bala Ram Roop or Ayodhya Ram Mandir or Deep Prajwalan. A Participation Certificate was given to all the Participants.

- 20th January, 2024: Under the aegis of the Industry Committee, a MSME Outreach Program was organised. Mr. Sunil Kumar, Joint Commissioner (Industries), UP was the Chief Guest and Mr. Sunil Agnihotri, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO, Kanpur was the Guest of Honour.

- 19th January, 2024: A press conference was organized under the joint aegis of Shri Radha Krishna Temple Trust ( J K Temple) and MCUP for the outline and detailed description of the two-day program “Ram Janaki Kala Mahotsava” to be held on 21st-22nd January, 2024 at Shri Radha Krishna Temple ( J K Temple). - 13th September, 2023: In the 92nd glorious year of the Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh, the installation ceremony of the new Governing Council was held. The chief guest of the program was Shri Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The newly elected President of the Chamber, Mr. Abhishek Singhania and Vice President, Mr. Mayank Khanna were honored by Mr. Brijesh Pathak by wearing the lapel pin of the President and Vice President of the Chamber respectively.

- 10th September, 2023: The Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh held its 91st Annual General Meeting at Dr. GHS Conference Hall. The Chamber's Annual General Meeting elected the President and Vice President for the FY 2023-24, as well as 15 members of the Governing Council Body.

- 3rd September, 2023: Under the aegis of the Start-up Committee, a programme titled “Masterclass on Angel Investing”. The Keynote Speaker of the Masterclass was Shri Saurabh Srivastava, Padma Shri, Founder IAN, Co-founder NASSCO, IVCA & TIE Delhi.

- 15th August, 2023: 77th Independence Day Celebration was held at MCUP. Shri Atul Kanodia, President MCUP, Dr. I M Rohatgi, Past President and members of the Chamber unfurled the National Flag. On this occasion, the students of United Public School presented patriotic songs. The program was well attended by large number of Council and other members.
After this, from 04:00 pm, a program was organized by the Women Entrepreneurs Committee of the Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh to honour the young meritorious Chartered Accountants. CA Akshay Gupta and Motivational Speaker Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Chaturvedi were the chief guest of the programme.

- 27th June, 2023: Under the aegis of the Trade and Industry Committee of the
Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh, in association with ASSOCHAM, SIMA, and
Sidbi, a program called "MSME: Ease of Doing Business" was organised to
celebrate International MSME Day. Shri Alok Ranjan, IAS, was the Chief guest,
and Shri Sudhanshu Mani, Creator of Vande Bharat Express, was the Guest of
Honor for the program.

- 12th June, 2023: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lt. Shri Gaur Hari Ji Singhania, former Chief Patron of the Merchant Chamber of Uttar Pradesh, a day-long sherbet distribution program was organized, in which about 4000 passersby enjoyed sweet and cold sherbets. Along with this, under the aegis of the Cultural Committee, a cultural program called "Rahe Na Rahe Hum" was also organized in the evening.

The members of our Chamber along with Professional Fraternity, CAs, CSs, Advocates, Doctors, and Educationists and Traders and Industrialists were present.

- 12 November, 2021:Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh launched its newly formed Committee by name and style of "Women Entrepreneur Committee (WEC)". Dr. Arti Gupta, Miss Mani Lohia and Miss Sashi Bhartiya nominated as Advisor, Chairman, Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson, respectively.

- 21 October, 2021:Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh presented Trade and Industry related problems in Kanpur, its solutions and also the names of Ministries, whomsoever to concen, in tabulor form to Shri A.K. Sharma in a meeting held dated 10.08.2021. The same representation (by MCUP) forwarded by Shri AK Sharma to the concerned Ministries. Upon the same issues, the Logistics Division of MInistry of Commerce and Industry Ministry, GoI, conducted a high level virtual meeting discussed three main pioints were declare Kanpur SEZ, development of Logistics and Infratscture hub in Kanpur and to provide facility of ICD and testing lab for raw hides in Kanpur.

- 08 October, 2021: Under the Chairmanship of Shri Atul Kanodia, President of Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh along with the delegation from Chamber met with Shri Somesh Tiwari, CGST Commissioner (Audit) making him aware on problems being faced by Traders and Industrialists in GST Audit. Chamber presented an MoU on the mentioned issues alongwith feasible solutions. Commissioner Audit assured to take up the matter.
